摘要 PURPOSE:To adjust a cross angle and a tilting angle of upper and lower rolls to an optimum value and to prevent deformation and/or fissures of a pipe end by detecting a position of the pipe end using a couple of stock detectors, detecting the number of revolutions of the roll using a revolutional number detector, and calculating a cross angle and a tilting angle of the rolls. CONSTITUTION:An initial tilting angle theta1 and an initial cross angle value delta1 of rolls are set in a data setter 10. In an adjuster 11, the total number of revolutions of a main roll 1 is calculated based on the detected result of a roll revolutional number detector 9 for a period of time in which an end of a flank pipe 3 passes through both a stock detector 7 and a stock detector 8 being at a distance of (d) from the detector 7. When the pipe end 3 passes through the detector 8, a movement distance of the pipe end 3 is calculated concurrently. An optimum tilting angle theta and cross angle delta of the rolls calculated in accordance with a position of the pipe end are outputted to a drafting position automatic adjusting device 6 and a cross angle automatic adjusting device 12 respectively, so that the pipe end is drawn to be formed into an optimum shape. Therefore, deformation and/or fissues of the pipe end is prevented.
