PURPOSE:To prevent aluminum hydroxide from being adhered to feeding rolls and prevent a surface of an aluminum plate from being damaged, by a method wherein an aluminum plate having a surface minutely roughened is immersed in an aqueous solution containing an anionic surfactant, an alkaline substance and a chelating agent. CONSTITUTION:The surface of an Al plate is minutely roughened to enhance adhesion of a photosensitive resin thereto. An alkylnaphthalenesulfonate or the like is used as an anionic surfactant, while sodium hydroxide or the like is used as an alkaline substance, and ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid or the like is used as a chelating agent. The three components are dissolved in water in such amounts that 2 to 20pts.wt. of the anionic surfactant, 1 to 10pts.wt. of the alkaline substance and 0.01 to 10pts.wt. of the chelating agent are present in 100pts.wt. of water. The Al plate having the minutely roughened surface is immersed in the aqueous solution thus prepared, whereby the surface is deprived of light gray parts and is whitened. Thereafter, the Al plate is subjected to anodic oxidation or a treatment for making the surface hydrophilic, thereby obtaining the intended base. |
