Recycled-product building bricks

It is known that gypsum arises in the flue gas purification downstream of fossil combustion plants. Likewise, straw residues arise in agriculture, and hay residues also frequently arise on public green areas; these cannot be marketed and entail disposal problems. To utilise these residues, it is proposed according to the invention that the flue gas desulphurisation gypsum is mixed with straw and/or hay and converted into moulded bricks. To improve the bond between gypsum and straw or hay, the agricultural residues can be sprayed with additional binders.
