PURPOSE:To surely prevent the instability of combustion or misfire in the burner of a fuel reformer, by keeping the supply of air to the burner from being made insufficient by lowering the degree of opening of an interpolar pressure difference control valve at the time of the sharp increase in the load on a fuel cell electricity generation system, to always secure at least a minimum flow rate of burning air. CONSTITUTION:A by-pass line 14 having a by-pass valve 15, the degree of opening of which is always fixed, is provided to by-pass an interpolar pressure difference control valve 9 provided in an air discharge line 10 for supplying the burner 32 of a fuel reformer 3 with air already used for power generation in a fuel cell 4. As a result, even if the degree of opening of the interpolar pressure difference control valve 9 is lowered at the time of the sharp increase in load (at the time of transient fluctuation), at least a minimum flow rate of air necessary for combustion is always secured to the burner 32 regardless of the degree of opening of the valve 9. The combustion in the burner 32 of the fuel reformer 3 is thus made very stable to surely prevent misfire. |
