PURPOSE:To prevent the decrease in reflectivity particularly under high-temp. and high humidity environment for a long period of time by forming a light reflecting film on the rugged surface of a transparent base body on one surface of which information is recorded by ruggedness and providing a protective material consisting of a metal having the ionization tendency larger than the ionization tendency of the reflecting film on the reflecting film then forming a protective film thereon. CONSTITUTION:A reflecting film 12 is formed of Te, Se or an alloy thereof on the ruggedness of a transparent base body 11 obtd. by injection molding, etc. of a polycarbonate resin, etc. by using a metallic formed with ruggedness information. A protective material 13 of a film 12 consisting of Mg, Zn, Al, etc. having the ionization tendency larger than the ionization tendency of the film 12 is formed by a vapor deposition, etc. on said film. A protective film 14 is thereafter formed on the material 13 by using a UV curing acrylic resin paint. The deterioration in the reflectivity of the film 12 owing to formation of rust, etc. by the O2 and moisture in the air is thus prevented and the long-life recording medium is obtd. |
