PROCESS FOR PRODUCING COINCIDENTLY EMBOSSED DECORATIVE SHEETS

Decorative sheet is produced by; (a) forming in sequence on a paper substrate(i) an ordinary printed layer of the desired pattern and (ii) a heat-foamable printed layer of the desired pattern; (b) impregnating this decorative sheet with a thermosetting resin liq. and drying; (c) laminating the dried sheet on a substrate; (d) moulding the laminate by heating and pressing in between a pair of heating plates; (e) coating the surface of the laminate with a solvents and (f) rubbing to remove the foamed printed layer swollen by the solvent . Step(d) renders the laminate into an integral structure by curing the thermosetting resin and layer(ii) is simultaneously foamed.
