SILVER HALIDE PHOTOGRAPHIC SENSITIVE MATERIAL

PURPOSE:To provide high sensitivity and to improve the graininess of a dye image by incorporating internal latent image type silver halide particles and a high-speed two-equiv. yellow coupler and by forming a silver halide emulsion layer in which surface latent image type silver halide particles are present so that they are adjacent to the internal latent image type silver halide particles. CONSTITUTION:This silver halide photographic sensitive material contains internally fogged internal latent image type silver halide particles and a high- speed two-equiv. yellow coupler and has at least one silver halide emulsion layer in which surface latent image type silver halide particles are present so that they are adjacent to the internal latent image type silver halide particles. The yellow coupler may be presented by formula I. An emulsion contg. internal latent image type silver halide particles forms a latent image in the silver halide particles and has most of the photosensitive nuclei in the particles. When the surface latent image type photosensitive silver halide particles and the internally fogged silver halide particles are used in 1:>=1 molar ratio (expressed in terms of silver halide), a significant effect is produced. The two kinds of emulsions are applied to form adjacent layers of the photographic sensitive material.
