PURPOSE:To lower the injection pressure of molding material and consequently miniaturize a mold by a method wherein the mold is made of porous ceramic and a molding cavity for injection molding is evacuated through the mold. CONSTITUTION:A molding cavity 7 with the desired shape is formed by bringing a male mold 6 and a female mold 5 into a combined state. In this case, the female mold 5 is made of porous ceramic. Consequently, the air in a space 17 at the back of the mold 7 is exhausted with a vacuum pump 18 and accordingly the air in the molding cavity 7 formed by the molds 5 and 6 is exhausted outside through the porous ceramic mold 5. As a result, the pouring pressure to pour molding material 16 from a nozzle 14 into the molds can markedly be reduced and consequently no rigidity is necessary for the mold 5 itself and a small mold with thinner wall serves sufficiently enough for the mold 5. |
