This voltage-controlled oscillator comprises: - a first element T able to change logic state according as its input voltage becomes greater than a first level termed high level or less than a second level termed low level, or to remain in the previous logic state if its input voltage is between these two levels, the output of this element constituting the output of the voltage-controlled oscillator; - a second element RC able to apply, to the input of the first element, an increasing or decreasing voltage depending on the type of instruction which it receives, this element being powered by the input voltage from the voltage-controlled oscillator; - a third element D able to convert any change of state of the first element into an instruction for the second element so as to ensure an opposite change of state of the first element.
