PURPOSE:To obtain ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resin foam having good impact resilience, by blending ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resin with a high-ethylene type ethylene-propylene copolymer and expanding the resultant blend while heating. CONSTITUTION:A high ethylene type ethylene-propylene copolymer synthesized from only ethylene and propylene is blended with ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resin and a foaming agent, crosslinking agent, etc., are suitably added thereto. The resultant blend is kneaded at 90-120 deg.C and then charged into a hermetically closed mold and heated at 180-230 deg.C while pressurizing. After heating the mold is opened to produce the aimed ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resin foam having good impact resilience. |
