PURPOSE:To improve the productivity of an infrared detector which has superior mechanical strength by providing an infrared detecting element on an end surface of an inner cylinder covered with a substrate where a conductor material is printed at its outer periphery and providing an infrared-ray transmissive material to an end surface of an outer cylinder. CONSTITUTION:The infrared detecting element 6 is mounted on a package 7 on the end surface of the cylindrical inner cylinder 2 and the ceramic substrate 10 where the conductor for signal transmission is formed at the outer periphery of the inner cylinder; and the inner cylinder 2 is surrounded with the outer cylinder 3 through a flange 4 and a window 5 made of the infraredray transmissive material is provided to the end surface. The detection signal of the element 7 is led to a terminal 8 through the substrate 10. Therefore, the inner cylinder 2, outer cylinder 3, and flange 4 are made of metal, so mechanical strength, vibration resistance, and shock resistance are superior, press working and mechanical working are possible, and dimension accuracy and productivity are improved. |
