LIQUID CONTROL VALVE FOR MEDICAL MACHINERY

A valve has an outer flexible tubular member and inner rigid cylindrical body, forming a radial clearance adjustable between fully closed and max. flow positions as a function of an axial tension on the flexible member. The ends of the member are pref. attached to rigid or semi-rigid end-pieces with flat peripheral flanges which can be attached to respective tubing lengths for supplying the fluid and allowing the tension to be applied. Pref. externally threaded cylindrical body holds the flexible member in a groove. Alternatively, an outer member may be of square or rectangular section and abuts one end flange while at the other it abuts an adjusting nut.
