A grinding roller mechanism for granular material, especially a roller crusher, has at least two rollers (2), above which there is arranged a filling box (6), filling hopper, filling trough or the like. From this box (6), the material to be processed is fed via a feeding aperture (18) to the rollers (2). Inside the filling box (6) there is arranged a mixing chamber (21) which is shielded by a partition (24) against direct passage of the material from the input (25) of the filling box (6) without diversion to the feeding aperture (18), but is connected to the feeding aperture (18) by means of at least one connecting aperture (27). Inside the mixing chamber (21), preferably in the vicinity of the partition (24), there is provided a mixing device (30) with mixing arms (32, 33). <IMAGE>
