PURPOSE:To prevent wasteful power consumption by operating a pulse motor driving a transfer guide by carrying an optimum value of current. CONSTITUTION:Signals designating a driving current value fed to a pulse motor 11 and a holding current value so as to be each made to differ are inputted to a D/A conversion circuit 7 from terminals C-F. The D/A conversion circuit 7 transfers comparison voltage EC corresponding to respective value over a comparator 8 on the basis of the designations. A transistor 9 supplies each winding for the pulse motor 11 with currents values corresponding to the comparison voltage EC. Terminals indicating optimum current values are selected from the terminals C-F every time the kinds of paper are changed. The pulse motor 11 is driven by the optimum current value at all times in response to the kinds of paper. |
