<p>The roller mounted suitcase is fitted with a swivel-mounted or hinged handle member (3) which is attached by a holder (9) to the top of the bottom part (2) of the suitcase so that when extended into its position of use the suitcase can be readily pulled along behind the owner. The roller mechanism for the suitcase can be two or four wheels (4) and possibly a brake (5) which are mounted on the underneath of the two suitcase shells (1, 1) which face the floor when stood upwards. The rollers can be an integral part of the suitcases in which case they are mounted in corner recesses provided for this purpose. Alternatively, they can be designed as detachable fitments.</p> |
