The machine according to the invention makes it possible to produce a twisted thread which is conditioned in a single pass and comprises a twister with a plurality of twist spindles 1-1', a small conditioning oven 4 for each part of the machine, a cooling device 5 placed downstream of each small conditioning oven and a small false twist spindle 6 placed after the cooling device. The machine is made very compact by using a twister with a high density of spindles forming the subject of the Italian patent 811 356 from the same applicant. <IMAGE>
