<p>Ergometer device (1) with two mutually independent gear units (25, 26) allotted to the arms or legs as appropriate, fitted to a frame (2, 3) or a cross-member (14) movable on the latter, and provided with a movement guide system for the legs or arms with an angular speed which can be pre-set, and in particular can be constant. The frame supports a seat (19) and each gear unit (25, 26) has a toothed bar which can pivot around the axis of a toothed wheel which is stationary at least during operation of the ergometer and engaging with the said stationary wheel, the said toothed bar being arranged in a cylindrical tube of a jack which serves as a guide mechanism and carries at each of its end a piston which is sealably guided in the cylindrical tube. The said toothed rod is engaged with a mobile toothed wheel fitted rotatably on the cylindrical tube, said wheel being connected in a non-rotatable manner to an oscillating bar (27, 27'), at the free end of which is provided a securing or engaging element (28, 29, 30) for the feet or hands. A flow rate controller is installed in each appropriate cylinder circuit to adjust the quantity of pressure media fed to or from the pressure cylinder and hence the angular speed of the oscillating bar.</p> |
