The invention relates to a measuring device 10 having a measuring mandrel 11 which carries a measuring element 13, in particular for measuring the inside diameter of bores, for which purpose the measuring mandrel 11 dips into these bores. For the purpose of labour-saving adaptation to different values of diameter and of saving expensive measurement heads, the measuring mandrel 11 is subdivided symmetrically into a plurality of parts 11a to 11b in the direction of the longitudinal axis.
