PURPOSE:To execute the efficient automatic paper selection even at the time of plural sizes by having the first mode operating an automatic paper selecting means at every sheet of the original supplied and the second mode operating the automatic paper selecting means only at the time of supplying the first original. CONSTITUTION:The size in the transverse direction of the original can be judged by detecting whether or not both sensors 302 and 303 detect the original and whether or not the sensor 303 (303 is located at the depth side of the paper surface) only detects the original. To both of the original of the same size as when the original with the different size is mixed, an automatic paper selecting function (APS) functions efficiently. Namely, at the time of mixing the size, the size is detected to the original one by one, and at the time of the same size, only the size of the first sheet is detected. Simply, when APS is designated, the latter mode is obtained. |
