This method relates to the fast and cost-effective construction of floors made of reinforced concrete, for all spans and live loads; it also applies to double-walled façades, as well as to arches capable of reaching long spans. It is a device comprising two slabs, joined together by ribs which are orthogonal to these slabs; the thicknesses and heights of the various elements depend on the spans and live loads. The space between the slabs and ribs consists, in practice, of permanent formwork made up of blocks of very light plastic (expanded polystyrene, polyurethane, etc.) which are secured by adhesive bonding of feet to the decking of the formwork or by any device which would be necessary in the case of sizable cross-sections. The plastic blocks have a great advantage, in addition to their light weight, of providing very good thermal, and even acoustic, insulation. <IMAGE>
