Emptying device for silos with circular cross section using "hovercraft" (air-cushion carriers), characterised in that the bottom of the silo comprises a tunnel 3 extending along a diameter and having an opening 6, located at the centre of the silo, communicating with one of the ends of a sheath 7, located inside the tunnel and comprising a "hovercraft" (air-cushion carrier) 11 and the other end of which emerges above a chute 8 connected to a conventional discharge conveyor arranged outside the silo, the said tunnel communicating, on the one hand, with a ventilation sheath connected to the conventional blowing system, located outside the silo, and, on the other hand, with the said internal sheath 7 via the interposition of orifices 12 emerging under the "hovercraft" (air-cushion carrier) 11. <IMAGE>
