PURPOSE:To prevent overflow of electrolyte even when a battery is inverted or vibrated by a lateral turning by installing a spray arresting cylinder extending to the inside of a battery in a cover and an exhaust structure having an exhaust hole and a safety vent inside the spray arresting cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A spray arresting cylinder 3 extending to the inside of a battery from a cover 2 is installed, and an exhaust hole 5 and a safety vent 1 covering hole 5 are installed inside the cylinder 3, and the vent 1 is fixed in a safety vent fitting hole 4. When the battery was inverted, electrolyte 6 is blocked by the cylinder 3 and electrolyte overflow is prevented. Even if the vibration is applied, since the cylinder 3 is extruded above the electrolyte level, electrolyte overflow is prevented. In addition, since the lower opening of the cylinder is narrowed, the electrolyte 6 is difficult to enter the inside of the cylinder 3. Even if the electrolyte 6 enters the inside, since its volume is small and water head is low, it is blocked by vent closing pressure of the vent 1, and electrolyte overflow can be prevented. |
