PURPOSE:A hair cosmetic having improved style forming and maintaining performances, obtained by blending a hair cosmetic such as shampoo, rinse, treatment, etc., with high polymer latex comprising a fine, water-insoluble high polymer having specific particle diameter. CONSTITUTION:A hair cosmetic containing 0.01-10wt%, especially 0.05-5wt% calculated as organic high polymer of high polymer latex comprising an organic high polymer which has 0.005-0.2mum average particle diameter (weight average) and >=95wt% based on total amount of particles with 0.005-0.2mum particle diameters. Especially polystyrene and a copolymer consisting of styrene and a vinyl monomer except styrene, having <=300 deg.K glass transition temperature (Tg) is preferable as the organic high polymer. Further addition of a long-chain alkyl quaternary ammonium salt and fats and oils provides the hair with a good touch. |
