<p>PURPOSE:To improve the sensitivity of a device and to miniaturize the device by providing a core so that the surface formed by a magnetic circuit is almost parallel to the disposed direction of a line conductor. CONSTITUTION:A magneto-optical sensor 3 is provided into the gap of the rectangular core 70, and the primary conductor 1 is wound three times. The core 70 is arranged so that the magnetic circuit formed by the core 70 is parallel to the disposed direction of the line conductor 8. A current flowing in the conductor 8 flows through the conductor 1, and causes the core 70 to generate magnetic flux. According to changes in the magnetic flux, the sensor 3 varies its output of light. Therefore a width D can be reduced by making the core 70 rectangular, the sensitivity can be improved by winding the conductor 1 around the core, and simultaneously the device can be scaled down.</p> |
