<p>Operation of a roller shutter involves winding the roller up on a spindle, by hand. It involves a double draw cord, a drive roller coupled to a spindle, with running surface for cord, and coiling roller for cord with axis of rotation set parallel to shutter spindle. The coiling roller is mounted in the shutter case above the drill roller, the axes of rotation of the two rollers being offset sideways in relation to each other. They may be fastened to a shared retainer plate, with a guide roller for the return section of the cord between them. This layout enables the height of the shutter case to be reduced.</p> |
