PURPOSE:To enable the continuous softening and cleaning of raw laver without using a compressing transfer pump, by forming a hollow part in the housing wall of a rotary pump, providing a discharging hole connected to the hollow part and attaching an opening having an openable valve to the outside of the discharging hole. CONSTITUTION:The stirring blade 17 is rotated with a separate driving means. A mixed liquid of raw laver is supplied through the inlet port 25 in the housing H with a pump. The raw laver A introduced into the housing is ground, softened and cleaned because the rotary blade 17 is rotated along the direction of the arrow while pinching the raw laver between the edge of the hollow parts 15, 15 of the inner wall and the tip end of the vane 23. The softened and cleaned raw laver is discharged from the housing H through the discharging hole 27 together with a part of the stain water and defective laver generated in the softening and cleaning operation. The discharged laver is passed through a porous vessel to separate the staining materials and defective laver from the objective cleaned laver. Since the apparatus acts also as a compression transfer pump, it is not necessary to use a separate compression transfer pump. |
