<p>Derivs. of 1-(2,4-dichlorophenyl)2-(1-imidazolyl) ethanol of formula (I) in which R can be various radicals, for use as fungicides and bactericides, are made by reaction of 1-(2,4-dichlorophenyl)2-(1-imid azolyl) ethyl p-toluene sulphonate with substd. Na or K methoxide of formula MO-CH2R II. Reaction is in inert solvent at 70-120 deg. C. M is Na or K.</p> |
