PURPOSE:To perform reprojection processing at a high speed and to display a stereoscopic image in real time by processing three-dimensional voxel data by Fourier transform, and displaying frequency data corresponding to a desired projection surface after inverse Fourier transform. CONSTITUTION:The three-dimensional voxel data in a three-dimensional image memory 1 is processed by a three-dimensional Fourier transform processor 2 into three-dimensional frequency data, which is stored in a three-dimensional frequency memory 3. A data transfer device 5 responds to an input from a coordinate input device 4 such as a track ball after said reprocessing to select a frequency plane containing an origin corresponding to a projection direction specified by the device 4, and frequency data on the plane is transferred from a memory 8 to a three-dimensional frequency memory 6.
