PURPOSE:To prevent the vanishment of a running distance data, by a method wherein, when the disconnection of a power source is previously detected, an integrated running distance data in a counter is transferred from the counter to a nonvolatile memory. CONSTITUTION:A switch 1a is positioned in parallel to a key switch 1. With a cover of a spot, where a battery, working as a power source, is housed, opened, the switch 1a is brought into OFF. When the key switch 1 is turned ON and OFF, a controller 2 transfers an integrated running data drom from a nonvolatile memory 5 to a counter 6 and from the counter 6 to the nonvolatile memory 5. In case the key switch 1 is in an ON condition, and if the switch 1a is turned OFF, the controller 2 transfers the integrated running distance data in the counter 6 to the nonvolatile memory 5, and simultaneously, opens a power source switch 3 to suspend applying a power source voltage to each constitution device. |
