PURPOSE:To obtain an economical superplastic Pb alloy having superior superplasticity in the early stage of use and after a change with the lapse of time by specifying a composition consisting of Sn, Cd and Pb. CONSTITUTION:This superplasctic Pb alloy has a composition consisting of 10-30wt% Sn, 0.5-30wt% preferably 3-20wt% Cd and the balance Pb with inevitable impurities. The lowered Sn content is attained by the addition of Cd. The Pb alloy undergoes little change in the superplacticity with the lapse of time. The alloy is worked into a plate, laminated on plastics and subjected to blow forming to manufacture a case having an electromagnetic-wave shielding property. The alloy may be used as a coking material, a vibration damping material or an adhesive. |
