It is known to use a toothed transmitter wheel for generating rotation-speed-dependent signals, which transmitter wheel interacts with a pulsed signal transmitter. The changing air gap underneath the pulsed signal transmitter resulting from the intrinsically rotating transmitter wheel results in a severe amount of noise being produced, the so-called siren effect. In order to prevent this, it is proposed according to the invention either to fill the tooth gaps with an electrically non-conductive material or to arrange the pulsed signal transmitter in such a manner that it is arranged on the side of the transmitter wheel remote from the teeth.
