<p>PURPOSE:To effectively perform the control of an injection quantity, an ignition timing or the like and the electronic control of an internal combustion engine when a trouble occurs in measuring means for measuring an air flow rate by constituting the engine such that the intake air flow rate of the engine is displayed in a digital form. CONSTITUTION:A heating power is supplied to a temperature sensing element 12 provided in an intake pipe by the start pulse signals set in response to signals Tin in synchronism with the rotation of an engine. When the temperature of the element 12 reaches a specified value, the heating power is interrupted (17). The supply time width TL of the heating power is supplied to an engine control unit 20 as the measuring output signal Tout that is a pulsewise signal. When a trouble, such as a disconnection or the like, occurs in the element 12, the trouble is detected by a change in the time width represented by an output signal A and, a time width signal wherein a specified correction is applied to the rotation period of the engine in the state that the trouble is detected is supplied to a control unit 20 to conduct an engine control. Therefore, a vehicle carrying such internal-combustion engine can safely run.</p> |
