<p>Machine for the wet-treatment, partic. milling or scouring, of fabrics in rope form comprises a liquor container provided with a trellis, a pair of squeeze rollers of which at least the lower one is positively driven, and a driven feed device between the trellis and the squeeze rollers which may consist of a single roller or a pair of rollers around which passes an endless belt. An additional drive roller may be positioned after the squeeze rollers, having a common belt drive with the feed device and the lower squeeze roller. The speed of all the driven rollers is automatically adjusted according to the tension in the fabric between the feed device and the squeeze rollers. Driven rollers additional to the traditional single drive of the squeeze rollers provides a much more gentle handling of the fabric whilst permitting higher running speeds and hence shorter treatment times.</p> |
