PURPOSE:To make vapor deposition easy, solubility in an org. solvent high, coating by application possible, reflectivity high, contrast good and shelf life excellent by depositing an indophenol dye on a substrate. CONSTITUTION:This recording medium is constituted by depositing the indophenol dye on the substrate. The dyes expressed by formula [I] are exemplified as the indophenol dye. The more preferable dye among the indophenol dyes expressed by formula [I] is the dye expressed by formula [II], etc. The film thickness in the case of using the indophenol dye as the information recording medium of the optical recording medium is preferably 1,000Angstrom -3mum. |
