PURPOSE:To achieve a good feeling of ride of a vehicle, by providing a step in which a processing for smoothing the acceleration of the vehicle by instantaneously increasing a controlled fuel injection quantity to a load/road injection quantity at the start of the acceleration and then gradually increasing the controlled fuel injection quantity to a required quantity is begun. CONSTITUTION:A step in which a required fuel injection quantity is determined from the running condition of an engine, a step in which it is judged whether or not it is the time to start acceleration of the engine, a step in which a load/ road fuel injection quantity Ql necessary for the constant-speed run of a vehicle is determined from the speed of the vehicle and the shifted position of its transmission, and a step in which a processing for smoothing the acceleration by instantaneously increasing a controlled injection quantity Qi to the load/road injection quantity Ql and then gradually increasing the controlled injection quantity Qi to the required injection quantity Qa is begun, are provided. As a result, the shock of acceleration and the lag of the start of acceleration are surely eliminated, so that a good feeling of ride of the vehicle is achieved. |
