<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the titled pigment which has excellent transparency, dispersibility and water resistance and a high solid content, by coupling an arom. diazo component with a specified mixture and forming a lake from the resulting dye by using an alkaline earth metal salt or Mn salt. CONSTITUTION:An arom. amino compd. contg. a sulfo group is diazotized at -10-10 deg.C to obtain an arom. diazo component (A) contg. a sulfo group. A mixture (B) of 50-99wt% 2-hydroxy-3-naphthoic acid and 50-1wt% 2-hydroxy-3- naphthoic acid derivative of formula I (wherein R is H, a naphthalene residue, a cyclohexyl residue, a group of formula II; X, Y, Z are each H, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, halogen, etc.) is dissolved in an aq. soln. of sodium hydroxide to obtain a coupler soln. The soln. is mixed with component A at -50-50 deg.C to effect a coupling reaction between components A and B, thus obtaining a dye. The titled lake is formed from the dye by using an alkaline earth metal salt or Mn salt.</p> |
