PURPOSE:To realize an end-face type thermal head having good heat radiability at low cost by sufficiently reducing the resistance value of common electrode by making up the common electrode of end-face type thermal head. CONSTITUTION:By boding a conductive tape 17 to the upside of the main-planar common electrode 7c of a heating substrate 7, the resistance value Rc of the common electrode can be sufficiently reduced to meet the requirement of color recording head. Also, since the resistance value Rc of the conductive tape 17 bonded to the common electrode is sufficiently small, the resistance value Rc in the longitudinal direction of the substrate 7 can be sufficiently reduced. The connection to wiring-printed board 10 by lead wire 18 is attained at one place of both ends or central part of the substrate 7, and a recession is very simply formed on the base 11. Low-cost base 11 can thus be used. By forming one or two recessions on the base 11, the contact area with the base of the substrate 7 can be increased and the heat radiativeness of the 7 can be raised. |
