In order to be able to insert different printed products at the same time, i.e. in a single operation, for example into a newspaper as a supplement, different printed products are first assembled for the second fold (the first cross fold in each case) in different folding groups, after which the printed products, which have been given at least one cross fold each, are superimposed and fed together on band conveyors to the third fold (preferentially, a second longitudinal fold). Preferentially, the different types of printed products are separated by a longitudinal slitting device over a former and fed as part-webs to the two folding groups operating in parallel for the second fold (first cross fold). In a different operating mode, the individual printed products may be separated in such a way that they can be fed to two third-fold stations, making delivery of finished work to two stacking positions possible. <IMAGE> |
