The invention relates to a servomotor equipped with a stop device. The servomotor comprises a motor and a transmission 19, 19a equipped with an element 15 for transmitting forces which moves longitudinally within strict limits and held against two springs 25, 30. The stop device comprises feeling members which sense the limited movement of the element 15 and which consist of a rack 32 connected to the force-transmission element as well as a pinion 15 meshing with this rack. The pinion is connected to a lever with two branches acting on switches intended to stop and start the motor. This design makes it possible to increase the operational safety of the apparatuses.
