The invention relates to a shop installation comprising, on the one hand, a commercial area whose exit is controlled by at least one check-out placed on its perimeter and, on the other hand, at least one establishment for the deposit of articles which have to undergo a treatment and/or conversion before being returned and for a certain price. This installation is characterised in that the establishment is arranged with respect to the perimeter of the commercial area 3 in such a way that the only deposit counter 8 is accessible from the outside 18 and is therefore accessible only from the inside of the perimeter 4 of the commercial area. The invention finds an advantageous application in the creation of laundry and drycleaning services within small and medium sized shops. <IMAGE>
