The invention relates to a device allowing, by dissuasion, the theft of car radios to be made impossible. It comprises a lever 1 welded to a spring 2 integral with a pin 3 fixed to the casing, a projection 4 under the right-hand end, and a stop 6 equipped with a spring 7 on the internal wall of the casing 5. Under the projection, there is a phial 8 of acid or of mercury, in a barrel 9, or an explosive fuse. An orifice 10 allows the rod 11 fixed under the facade-concealing element 12 to be introduced. The car radio is mounted in the cut-out 13, an orifice 14 allows the rod 11 to retract the stop and hold the projection away from the phial while the facade-concealing element is positioned. In order to take the car radio, the thief will have to remove the facade-concealing element, thus freeing the lever whose projection will break the phial or will strike the fuse and will irreparably destroy the circuit. The dissuasion effect of the device according to the invention is obtained by drawing attention to its presence. <IMAGE>
