PURPOSE:To collate rapidly whether or not the character column applies to the picture element column by converting respectively the character string and the picture element column of the collating object with the prescribed code and collating the incidence and the dissidence of the code of both converted codes in a lump. CONSTITUTION:The first code converting device 1 converts numericcharacter string data 4 which comes to be the collating object, by using the prescribed converting code specified beforehand. The second code converting device 2 converts a picture element 5 which comes to be the collating reference, to the code column by the prescribed converting code specified beforehand. A collating device 3 discriminates whether or not the code column converted respectively by the device 1 and the device 2 is coincident, and when the result is coincident, figure and character column data 4 are discriminated to be applicable for the picture element 5. |
