PURPOSE:The titled apparatus, having rotating bodies placed on both sides of a fiber sheetlike material with a high polymer elastomer solution in a coagulation bath for coagulating the above-mentioned fiber sheetlike material by the wet method, and capable of coagulating rapidly the above-mentioned sheetlike material into a flexible sheetlike material. CONSTITUTION:A fiber sheetlike material 3 with a high polymer elastomer solution applied thereto is wet coagulated. In the process, rotating bodies 5 having a blade are placed on both sides of the sheetlike material 3 to be conveyed by rolls 4 in a coagulation bath 1 containing a coagulating solution 2, and rotated to stir the coagulating solution 2 of a high concentration on the surface of the sheetlike material 3 and accelerate the coagulation. According to the above-mentioned method, a strong force is not applied to the sheetlike material 3 as opposed to the conventional method, and trouble, e.g. permanent set in sheet thickness, will not occur. Preferably, the number of blades is 1-4, and the number of revolutions is 200-400r.p.m. The distance between the sheetlike material 3 and the blade tips of the rotating bodies 5 is 5-15mm..
