PURPOSE:To perform excellent cleaning operation for a long period by arranging a cleaning member which has large-area cleaning surface in proximity to one roller of a fixing device and a positioning a new cleaning member of the member automatically on the roller surface at every specific period. CONSTITUTION:When one of cleaning members is at its operation position, a fitting member 3 is set at a specific position by a leaf spring 7 and a slide member is above it, so a lever pressure member 4c is also at an upper position, a lever 10 is at a position free from a shaft 8, and the fitting member 3 is held at its operation position. When the slide member 4 moves down, the lever pressure member 4c engages the lever 10 and rotates it clockwise and its one end part displaces the shaft 8 in a long-sized hole 30a, so the fitting member 3, therefore, cleaning member 3a and 3b all leave a press-contacting roller 7, so that while the fitting member is rotated smoothly, the surface of the fixing roller is never contaminated by an oil cleaning member. |
