The metal packing container such as a drum or large can comprises a top and/or bottom secured to the container body via a peripheral roll-fold connection. This connection consists of layers of metal of body and top or bottom, with layers of an adhesive interposed between them. The adhesive may consist of fusible hot-melt material, single or multi-component adhesive, or a e.g. tin-based metal alloy.
