<p>The mould comprises distribution channel which completely surrounds the part and is sepd. from it by a narrow land, which in turn, has a gap between the two halves of the mould, allowing flow of material from the distribution channel. This is fed from the injection machine in the case of a single cavity, or from a circular feed channel in the case of several cavities. Tracing a straight line passing through the centre of the material inlet and the centre of the mould, the point opposite to the inlet is marked and a zone is left at this point, taking in approx. 30 deg. of the circumference.</p> |
