PURPOSE:To realize the favorable external appearance of an outer panel and at the same time suppress the influence due to bubbles at baking finish by a method wherein a uniform in-mold coating film is formed over the whole molded part and at the same time the coating film part, at which an in-mold coating nozzle is located, is covered with a trim part, installed in a vehicle. CONSTITUTION:Firstly, a sheet-shaped thermosetting molding stock is molded by hot-pressing with the molding surfaces 2a and 3a of a molding tool 1 so as to obtain a molded part 4. Secondly, the molding tool 1 is opened slightly so as to make a gap G between the surface of the molded part 4 and the molding surface 2a of a top force 2. Thirdly, the predetermined amount of coating material B is poured in the gap G. Fourthly, the top force 2 is closed again so as to uniformly spread the poured coating material B over the whole surface of the molded part 4 and at the same time to form an in-mold coating film by curing the thermosetting coating material B. Fifthly, the molded part 4 is taken out of the molding tool 1 and subjected to the baking finish in order to form a vehicular outer door panel 16. Finally, before or after the assembling of the outer panel 16 to a vehicle 15, a trim part 17 is installed in the trim part equipping part A of the outer door panel 16 so as to cover the molding mark of the coating material inlet 7 of an in-mold coating nozzle 5. |
