PURPOSE:To execute image data processing in the direction of depth in real time by forming the second minute rectangular area that indicates depth information of each picture element from positional information of each picture element of the first minute rectangular area including the first representative point. CONSTITUTION:Converting process from an input image IM to a converted image IM is executed on a representative point of a minute rectangular area, and at the same time, depth information of each picture element is calculated basing on a minute rectangular area ER2 formed by the representative point obtained by the transforming arithmetic. In such a way, arithmetic of representative point from the input image IM to the converted image IM can be executed in real time using an arithmetic unit using software, and at the same time, picture processing information such as hidden surface processing, shading processing etc. can be executed in real time by an arithmetic unit using exclusive hardware for each picture element from the representative point after conversion. Thus, conversion control of picture processing of the converted image IM can be executed as a whole in real time. |
