<p>PURPOSE:To accurately perform a collating operation after no-paper interruption by returning a bin to its home position synchronously with the start-up of a single signal indicating the image forming operation of an image forming device and continuing to send this signal even when no paper is left. CONSTITUTION:The image forming operation of the specified number of sheets via an image forming means (c) is started by the depression of the start key (b) of an image forming device (a), and a signal SI0 indicating this operation is fed to the control means (f) of a sorter (e) from the image forming means (c). The control means (f) allows the collating operation via a collating means (g) in response to the detected signal SI1 of a sheet detecting means (h) only when this signal SI0 is at the level indicating the image forming operation and returns the bin of the collating means (g) to its home position in response to the level change of the signal SI0. On the other hand, the image forming means (c) stops the image forming operation in response to the detected signal of a no-paper detecting means (d) but does not change the level of the signal SI0 and continuously indicates that an image is being formed.</p> |
