PURPOSE:To prevent an IC card from incorrect transaction by detecting the validity/invalidity of items set up in the IC card, storing the status information of the IC card on the basis of said detection and reading out the status information of the IC card at the loading of the IC card to a card terminal. CONSTITUTION:Immediately after answer-to-reset processing, the card status data stored in a data memory of the IC card 11 are extracted to the terminal 41 and the valid/invalid status of the items previously set up in the card 11 is outputted to a display part 11 as a message. Thereby, the validity/invalidity of use of the IC card 11 can be informed before the exchange of information on real transaction. |
